Dear Fitblrs…

Dear Fitblrs,

   I feel like I owe you a bit of an explanation. It’s been a while huh? I was really working hard there for a while huh? I let you down, but (and I know that you of all people will understand this) more importantly I let myself down. It wasn’t an instantaneous throw my hands up and quit kind of thing, it was a slow backslide into old habits and easy that has put me where I am today. I am back where I started from physically, but the bright spot is that mentally I am miles ahead of my original starting point, because I know what I can accomplish, and I know that all it really requires is me making up my mind to do it. So, this is me making up my mind. You, as a community, were such a huge part of my past success, the accountability and support that you provided my was irreplaceable. So I offer you this, I am sorry that I disappeared, I was embarrassed. But, I need you, if you’ll have me, to help me get back on track. I’m working on some goals and a plan for myself. I will post that later, but I wanted to start with this. I’m sorry I let you down. I’m sorry I let myself down. I’m ready to try harder again.

Balance…

I know I’ve been quiet latley…I am still trying to find some balance with all the things I am trying to do, BUT I am so exicted to be leaving for OBX in the morning to run my 1st HALF MARATHON!! Yay! I promise I will recap when I’m back! In the mean time, there is a new post up at the food blog…

I’m still here! I’ve just been living a busy life this week :-) I’ve been eating and working and running and bowling and working and signing up for 55 mile bike rides (what?!!?) and getting super excited about my 1st HALF MARATHON on April 10th and oh yeah my 29th Birthday on Saturday!! Just wanted to check in and say hi, so…HI!

Just got an email from the Marine Corps Marathon, Just a newsletter update, but still made me smile, and want put my running shoes on and go for a run RIGHT NOW! :-) October 30th is comming!

Countdown to my first half marathon is 18 days and a wake up…I can’t wait!

Too many meetings not enough time to get some food, here’s hoping this hand full of nuts and a fizzy water keeps me sated untill the end of my next meeting when I can run to whole foods, no more faileo, my tummy punished me all weekend.
